SPECIAL FEATURES (WEBSITE UPDATE TRAINING FOR ACADEMIC STAFF)
The University through ITeMS recently conducted an intensive training program for academic staff across 17 Faculties, focusing on updating their respective faculty, departmental and personal web pages. This training aimed to equip the staff with the necessary skills to manage and regularly update content on their faculty websites. Each session covered essential modules such as updating the welcome page, uploading new academic programs, managing the slider and sidebar menus, and enhancing staff profile sections.
The participants were also guided through navigating their faculty dashboards, updating their research, publication details, and other professional information on their personal staff pages. The training further emphasised the significance of maintaining current and accurate web content to ensure better communication with students and external stakeholders. The training sessions, held in each faculty to allow for personalised guidance, included practical, hands-on tutorials, where participants updated sample content under the supervision of the facilitators. Feedback from the participants indicated that the sessions were highly effective and greatly appreciated.
Photos taken during the training captured the participants actively engaging in the exercises, reflect their enthusiasm and commitment to mastering the skills necessary for enhancing the university’s digital presence. Below are some images show-casing the academic staff during the training sessions.
