Taking screenshots is a common task that can greatly enhance productivity, whether from an e-book, video, image, document or even your computer screen. The Snipping Tool/Snip and Sketch are built-in Microsoft Windows utilities that offer a range of features that make capturing and annotating screenshots simple and effective. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of the Snipping Tool/Snip and Sketch:
Steps on how to use the Snipping Tool on your Computer:
1. Opening the Snipping Tool:

Windows 10: Search for "Snipping Tool" in the Start menu.

Windows 7/8: You can also find it in the Accessories folder in the Start menu.

2. Types of Snips:

Free-form Snip: Draw a free-form shape around the area you want to capture.

Rectangular Snip: Drag the cursor around the area to form a rectangle.

Window Snip: Select a window to capture.

Full-screen Snip: Capture the entire screen.
3. Using Snipping Tool:

Open the Snipping Tool and click on the mode you want to use.

Click "New" and create the snip by drawing or selecting the area you want to capture.

After capturing, the snip will open in a new window where you can annotate, save, or share it.
4. Annotations:

Use the pen tool to draw or write on the screenshot.

Use the highlighter tool to highlight important areas.

Use the eraser tool to remove annotations.
5. Saving and Sharing:

Click the save icon or press Ctrl+S to save your snip.

Using the Snip & Sketch tool on your Computer
1. Opening Snip & Sketch:

Windows 10: Press Windows Key + Shift + S to open Snip & Sketch directly.

Capturing a Snip:

After pressing Windows Key + Shift + S, the screen will dim, and a small menu will appear at the top.

Choose the type of snip you want to capture: Rectangular, Free-form, Window, or Full-screen.

The captured snip is automatically copied to the clipboard and a notification appears.
2. Editing and Annotating:

Click on the notification to open the snip in Snip & Sketch.

Use the various tools (pen, pencil, highlighter) to annotate the screenshot.

Use the ruler and protractor for precise measurements.
3. Saving and Sharing:

Click the save icon or press Ctrl+S to save your snip.
